I wish to visit three countries before I die: Mongolia, Ethiopia and French Polynesia and also witness one of earth’s most remarkable phenomena (phenomenon?): aurora borealis or if I haven’t got a choice aurora australis.
- Mongolia
5.000 years of history. The Mongol Empire, the biggest of all times. The nomad lifestyle some people chose to live. The remains of another “empire”. Fascinating.

- Ethiopia
The cradle of humanity. Something attracts me to that country since my adolescence. Is it the speculation that Mankind was born there or the “biblical civilisation”? A mixture of evolutionism and religion? What irony.
- French Polynesia
More specifically the îles Marquises or the Tuamotu archipelago. Paradise on Earth? Probably not, but a place that might help you to be true to yourself. Like Antarctica with a female touch.
- Aurora Borealis
Doesn’t the above photo say it all? I can’t imagine a better visual link to space.

(to be continued)
I’d love for people who already travelled through these countries to leave a comment.

you made the right choice.
start with Ethiopia, if you go to the right places, you might be overhelmed. Then Mongolia, to find yourself. Finally, Polynesia, to live and tell your story.
aurora borealis, you are right again, how much closer can you get to outer space?
so many places on earth too choose from, such a small time frame; do not forget to discover every inch of the 5 mile radius surrounding your hometown.
